As I am writing this, I am indulging in a yummy green Pina colada smoothie. It is fast, easy and so nutritious. The ingredients are available just about everywhere and some of them need no refrigeration at all. What is in this smoothie that I am drinking now?
I am using a personal ninja blender.
½ can Pineapple with ½ the juice (no sugars and no artificial sugar)
½ can coconut milk (not the lite kind, you want the good kind of fat)
And I filled the rest up with fresh spinach.
You can save the other coconut milk and pineapple for a smoothie later or tomorrow. It is the most beautiful green color too.
Don’t stop there, use your imagination. Strawberries, peaches, berries, pears, mango, and the list goes on.
I don’t normally use coconut milk in my smoothies, but for this combination, it sure is good!
Usually, I just throw some fruit and greens in and add water. How easy is that??? Sometimes I put an avocado in there, this makes it smooth and creamy.
Think about it, if you use apples, bananas, pears, mango, avocado, lemons, limes, oranges, grapefruit, plums, and peaches, (What did I forget?) you don’t need any refrigeration for those. Add water and some greens and you’ve got a great meal.
So take the challenge to better health on the road. GO SMOOTHIES!!!
